Agfa ePhoto307
The Best in its Class

by John Henshall

The Agfa ePhoto307

Agfa's ePhoto307 is not just another 640 x 480 pixel camera, it's just the best in its class. Couple superb picture quality with the very best software I have seen and a price of £255 - it all adds up to outstanding value. To quote the old Volvo joke, the ePhoto307 is 'boxy but it's good'. There is no LCD panel on which to view pictures. The fixed focus 'glass' lens is equivalent to 43mm on a 35mm film camera. There is no over-complicated addressing of controls - you know, the 'press this button twice, then hold this one down while twiddling that knob, then press this button to store the settings' kind of intricacy which you can never remember without the instruction book. The 307 has simple intuitive controls - just one button per function. This is an outstanding camera at a great price.
