This article was written for the Royal Photographic Society's Journal July/August 2010.
It puts Leica's new full-frame digital camera body into the context of nearly a century of Leica development. John Henshall has used Leicas for many years and, as a collector, owns Leicas dating from the 1920s, through the introduction of the 'M' series in 1954. He has also been involved in the introduction and development of digital imaging since the 1980s.
The article looks in depth at the M9 and also puts it into the context of today's popular DSLR cameras.
